About me

Hi, I’m Morganne — a business intelligence and analytics professional with 8 years of experience turning complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Over the past several years, I’ve helped product and strategy teams at SaaS, e-commerce, and marketplace companies use data to make smarter decisions. My expertise spans building robust BI infrastructure, leading A/B testing strategies, and translating technical data into tools and dashboards for internal and external clients.

I specialize in tools like Looker, Tableau, Snowflake, Microsoft SQL, and Amplitude, and I’ve led initiatives around data governance, performance optimization, and documentation — all with a focus on making data more accessible, trustworthy, and impactful.

Outside of analytics, I’m an abstract painter drawn to vibrant colors and expressive shapes. My art explores balance, contrast, and movement — often inspired by the same curiosity that drives my analytical thinking.

Experience

  • June 2024 - Present

    • Partner with internal and external clients to build and enhance reporting across the business and our platform using Looker

    • Write, test, and troubleshoot complex MS SQL queries in partner with the data warehouse team

    • Created plan and implemented multiple strategies to drive the BI team forward

      • Data governance strategy to ensure the quality, accuracy, and usability of our data within the database and Looker

      • Performance and structure improvement strategies to remove our dependency on persistent derived tables, migrate reports using new database and table structure, and to improve the overall structure of the backend of Looker for easability and self serviceability

      • Documentation strategies to create processes for ticket creation and QA, dashboard development, and to surface our primary reports, KPIs, and complex logic for future developers in Confluence.

  • July 2022 - May 2023

    • Partnered with product management and technology teams to gather, manipulate, analyze and document raw, complex data 

    • Launched and supported AB tests:

      • Added Apple Pay in our membership flow (1.5% lift in membership conversion rate)

      • Added a Buy it again bar on homepage (2% lift in ATC rate)

      • Added a Rewards program for members to earn cash back by taking actions on site (Rolled out nationwide)

    • Developed dashboards, visualizations and datasets that provide actionable insights on user experience on web and mobile in Amplitude, Domo, and Tableau

    • Developed and implemented instrumentation in Amplitude in collaboration with engineers to track feature releases 

    • Served as tactical liaison for product management teams to provide the most accurate and relevant information to help drive meaningful business decisions

  • November 2020 - July 2022

    • Conducted statistical analyses, investigated product bugs, and forecasted impacts using SQL, Tableau, Looker, and Excel for the consumer product team, whose goal was to create profitable matching experiences between homeowners and contractors

    • Launched and supported AB tests and market tests:

      • Merged Homeadvisor and Angie’s List brands into one platform (Resulted in a consistent user experience and a combined pro network)

      • Implemented a new algorithm for matching engine (Resulted in more insight into user flow within database)

      • Added call feature to directly connect pros to consumers (Increase in Rev/Member and Lead Accept Fee)

    • Helped build Looker warehouse from the ground up to serve the product org by strategizing on methodology for development, building out primary Explores, and spearheading the initiative to develop a warehouse for ad hoc reporting

  • January 2018 - November 2020

    • Developed and managed dashboards in Oracle Analytics, Excel, and Tableau for marketing, sales and ops, and product teams 

    • Enhanced report performance by tuning the derived tables, join structures, and indexing

    • Facilitated multiple migration initiatives including migration from OBIEE 11g to 12c, OBIEE 12c to Oracle Analytics, Tableau and Excel to Oracle Analytics and Oracle SQL Developer to Snowflake
